Metal & Polymeric Seal Design
Combining a first-principles approach to metal, PEEK & PTFE seal design with our materials & analysis expertise we can produce reliable & robust seal designs which pass qualification testing first time round. We have established relationships with major test houses enabling us to plan & manage the entire design and qualification process.
Design Optimisation & Problem Solving
Contrary to conventional wisdom 'blue' on FE results is not always optimum - it's a sign of over-design. Provide geometry, material data & criteria limits for your parts and we will optimise material utilisation. Our close links with major fabrication & machine shops mean that we can even provide a manufacturing review to ensure changes don't impact on production.
PDIL are capable of defining the scope of material testing required to ascertain fatigue properties needed to make fatigue assessments and can take care of the whole process from sourcing the testing services, interpreting the data, performing the fatigue analysis & making recommendations for improvement.
